Founded in 2013, Amegreen Children's Services specialises in therapeutic residential care for vulnerable children and young people aged 5 to 18. Based in rural West Berkshire, our community of homes provides a warm, nurturing environment where children with complex needs are supported to build positive relationships, grow in confidence and achieve fulfilling lives.

All of our homes are rated 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by Ofsted. Our staff are trained in the PACE therapeutic parenting model, and we offer a range of integrated services including children's residential care, education, therapeutic support and our unique Stable Futures equine programme. We are proud of the outcomes we achieve and the difference we make to some of the most vulnerable young people in society.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Junior HR Advisor to join the team at Amegreen. • Assist in developing HR policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and organisational objectives.
  • Minute meetings and provide general support to the HR Manager including drafting letters and preparing documentation.

You will ideally have

  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively and work accurately at speed.
  • Exemplary attention to detail and a high standard of written and verbal communication.
  • Proactive problem solver with a can-do attitude, able to use initiative and work autonomously.
  • Discretion, tact, and sensitivity, with a clear understanding of the need for confidentiality.
  • Confident in building effective professional relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Genuine interest in HR as a profession and a desire to grow as a subject matter expert.
  • A Diploma in HR or equivalent HR qualification.
  • A minimum of one year of HR administrative experience.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment managing competing deadlines.
